This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit ConsoliSheet or use our services.

Information you provide to ConsoliSheet

When you use ConsoliSheet, you may provide information including:

• spreadsheets and CSV files that you upload for processing;
• information contained within those files;
• column names, mappings and validation information generated while processing them;
• your name and email address if you contact us; and
• account and billing information if you use paid services when these become available.

Files uploaded to ConsoliSheet may contain personal information about you or other people. You are responsible for ensuring that you have an appropriate reason and, where required, lawful basis for uploading and processing that information.

Information we collect automatically

When you use our website, we may collect limited technical information such as your IP address, browser and device information, pages visited, timestamps and security or diagnostic information.

We may also use analytics to understand how people use ConsoliSheet. Where consent is required, analytics technologies are only used after you have made the appropriate choice through our cookie controls.

How we use uploaded spreadsheets

ConsoliSheet processes uploaded files to provide the service you request. This can include inspecting spreadsheet structure, matching columns, identifying potential problems and producing a consolidated spreadsheet.

We do not use the contents of your spreadsheets for advertising.

We do not use the contents of your spreadsheets to train AI models.

The current ConsoliSheet service does not send the contents of uploaded spreadsheets to external AI or large language model providers.

How long we keep uploaded files

For Quick Consolidate, uploaded files and generated processing data are temporary.

We remove this data after it is no longer required to provide the service, with an absolute target of deletion within 24 hours of upload. Deletion may take place asynchronously rather than immediately after your download.

Limited technical records may be retained for security, reliability and troubleshooting purposes. These records are designed not to contain the contents of your spreadsheets.

If we introduce services designed to retain files for longer periods, we will update this Privacy Policy and explain the applicable retention period.

Why we process personal information

Depending on the circumstances, we process personal information because:

• it is necessary to provide a service you have requested or to take steps at your request before entering into a contract;
• it is necessary for our legitimate interests in operating, securing, maintaining and improving ConsoliSheet;
• we need to comply with a legal obligation; or
• you have given consent, where consent is the appropriate lawful basis.

Where we rely on legitimate interests, those interests include keeping the service secure, understanding and improving its performance, preventing abuse and responding to enquiries.

Who we share information with

We use service providers to operate ConsoliSheet and our website. These may include hosting and infrastructure providers, security and content-delivery providers, analytics providers and, when paid services are introduced, payment providers.

Cloudflare provides network, security and content-delivery services for ConsoliSheet. Google Analytics may be used to help us understand website usage where the applicable consent requirements have been satisfied.

We may also disclose information where required by law, or where reasonably necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal rights.

We do not sell personal information.

International transfers

Some of our service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where personal information is transferred internationally, we take appropriate steps to ensure that the transfer is made using a lawful transfer mechanism and appropriate safeguards where required.
